With the travel industry bouncing back post-pandemic, American Airlines is seizing the opportunity in the growing demand for travel to Latin America and the Caribbean. Bookings for flights to popular destinations like the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Aruba are on the rise, prompting American Airlines to unveil eight new routes to cater to sun-loving travelers.
The new routes include a daily flight from Miami to La Romana in the Dominican Republic starting on Dec. 5, and a Saturday service from Charlotte International Airport to St. Vincent and the Grenadines commencing on Dec. 7. American Airlines is focused on offering travelers “nonstop fun in the sun” with these new routes, providing more options to explore tropical destinations.
American Airlines has also announced additional routes, including flights from JFK to three small Caribbean nations – St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. These flights will operate weekly, giving travelers convenient choices to escape to paradise.
The expansion of service to the Caribbean and Latin America underscores American Airlines’ commitment to meeting the rising demand for leisure travel. With more departures and available seats, the airline is dedicated to giving customers better access to popular vacation spots.
Tickets for the new routes will go on sale on American’s website starting May 20. Alongside the new routes, American Airlines will add more flights to existing popular routes, ensuring travelers have plenty of options to plan their winter getaways.
During the winter season of sun-seeking, American Airlines expects to peak at 2,350 weekly flights to over 95 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. By expanding its flight network, American Airlines is solidifying its position as a top choice for travelers seeking tropical escapades.
