British Vogue‘s newly-appointed head of editorial content, Chioma Nnadi, has now completed three issues during her time in the role. However, it would be an exaggeration to say that recent covers have been a success. Even covers featuring FKA Twigs and Zendaya have not impressed us here at theFashionSpot. The next cover star on Nnadi’s list is Sophie Turner, who graces the cover of British Vogue‘s June 2024 edition. The English actress, who previously appeared on Vogue China‘s July 2019 cover, is photographed by Mikael Jansson. Styled by Camilla Nickerson, Turner, a longstanding Louis Vuitton brand ambassador, wears a look from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection in the cover shot.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Very random choice. Sophie Turner hasn’t really done anything since Game of Thrones,” expressed HodanChloe.
“Drab, lifeless, and a complete non-event of a cover. Chioma Nnadi’s British Vogue has, so far, left me massively underwhelmed,” critiqued vogue28.
Aracic couldn’t have agreed more, echoing: “Another horrid cover from Nnadi!”
“The cover feels like they had two minutes in a hotel room against a blank wall before an event,” criticized an underwhelmed RMDV.
“What a waste of Mikael Jansson!” exclaimed crmsn.
“Surprised this is by Mikael Jansson, it’s horrible. I haven’t even read last month’s issue yet because that cover [with Zendaya] is just so bad and this isn’t much better. It looks very cheap,” LastNight chimed in.
“This is a poorly cropped image of a person who is the ‘happiest’ they’ve been for ages, despite looking miserable as sin,” expressed tigerrouge.
